Recovering from the Croesus Track hike (everybody made it up, over, and down - great job all!), we had breakfast at Maggie's in Greymouth (Note:We have been eating at Maggie's for 7 years now, and Allan and Maggie plan to sell the cafe. We wish them the best!) and headed back over Arthur's Pass to Lincoln. The snowstorm that hit the South Island on Tuesday night changed the scenery going over this time considerably. Being Saturday, the school holidays, and a beautiful sunny day, it was the perfect day for hundreds of folks from the Canterbury Plains to come out for a snow day. We were happy to be a part of it.
